Wednesday was a beautiful day for the senior high music students to head down to the Chanhassen Dinner Theater to see a matinee performance of Guys and Dolls! It was a fun trip, an exciting show, good food, and great memories!
Thanks to all who bought baked goods at the Christmas Concert, and attended and/or sponsored the Choir's Decades Concert to help us earn the money to make this awesome field trip a reality. We appreciate you, and are grateful for such a fun opportunity!!

This prestigious tour… the 9th Grade PE Frolf Tour… has officially wrapped.

What started back in the fall as hopeful throws, questionable aim, and a shocking lack of “FORE!” awareness… ended yesterday in glory, improvement, and slightly fewer discs lost in the Northome School Forest.

It is a long, grueling season filled with adversity — wind, missed putts, accidental spectators in the danger zone, and the emotional rollercoaster of “that was definitely going in.”

Over the course of this tour, we saw it all:
• Discs parked beautifully by the basket
• Discs parked beautifully… 200 feet in the wrong direction
• Athletes discovering hidden talent

This year featured five teams battling it out all season long… but in the end, one group rose above the rest.

🏆 Congrats to Team 1 — Mason, Soren, and Jethro — are your 2026 Frolf Tour Champions.

But through it all — growth happened. Scores dropped, confidence rose, and effort never wavered.

Until next season… keep your throws low, your chains loud, and your discs out of the trees. And a special thanks to Mr. Hanson for doing a fantastic job maintenancing the frolf baskets!

Our preschool through third grade students took an amazing field trip to Obahshiing university to learn all about how maple syrup is made.
As a part of our experience, we were supposed to collect sap from the trees, but before heading out to the woods, our guide, Vicky Fineday, shared that a bear had visited the night before and eaten all the sap from the bags! When we walked out to the trees, students were excited to see the bear tracks and the taps filling new bags with sap for making the syrup. After our adventure, we headed back to enjoy some delicious pancakes. Topped with fresh maple syrup made from the sap. We also roasted hotdog and spent time enjoying the outdoors together. The students had a lot of fun and it was a great hands-on learning experience!
