Students in Ceramics 1 will learn a variety of clay building techniques including hand-building methods such as pinch, coil, and slab.  Northome school also has a relatively new kiln in which students will have the opportunity to experiment with various glazing and finishing techniques!  Depending on time and weather, students may have the chance to do some primitive clay techniques such as pit-fired clay as well!

Because of the nature of the projects we do in Ceramics, students signed up for this course from a distance learning standpoint will have different assignments.  Currently the name of the class distance learners will take during this hour is "Independent Art."  They can keep up with assignments through google classroom.
