Caleb Schneider Advances to the Minnesota State Track Meet
Caleb reached his goal of being able to run at the State Track meet. On June 1st under adverse conditions, the senior was able to run a tactically smart race to take the second place medal and earn a trip to state. He becomes the first athlete to earn a trip since 2005 when Corey White and Jonny Bennett both earned a trip.
Caleb started off fast pushing the pace which helped the race become a three person race. Caleb then drafted the second place runner until there was only 200 m left. Then he changed gears and surged past the second place runner and pulled ahead to earn his trip.
