Welcome to Northome School
As a community member, and Director of the DAC I truly appreciate all the opportunities Northome School gives our clients and staff to participate in their community.
The teachers at Northome School are the most caring people I know. Mr. Schneider the science teacher and track coach is nice and encouraging and always ready to help you become the best you.
Building positive relationships with students and families is a must. Northome School goes above and beyond to make sure that happens.

On behalf of the Northome School, our students and our staff, I would like to send our deepest condolences to the Red Lake Band of Chippewa with the tragic passing of Public Safety Officer Jesse Branch and Red Lake Band member Alan Lussier Jr, both who passed away from injuries sustained in a traffic accident. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with the Red Lake Nation at this time.

This week our staff have been on a turkey hunt. Everyone that found the turkey had to send a picture to the office and re-hide it. Each found turkey = name in the drawing. Congratulations to all of our winners and our grand prize winner, Mr. Furseth! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Today in science, our second graders started their properties of matter unit and made a "lava lamp," by separating oil and water and then dropping in Alka seltzer for a fun surprise.

We had our November school wide celebration today. We celebrated students for all their awesome achievements, and students who are exhibiting our mindset of the month- healthy risk taking…stepping outside your comfort zone. Congratulations to Mr. Boser for being our golden apple winner for the month. He’s been a great addition to our team this year!
