Northome school has delivered over 750 meals to our students and community families over the past week. Many thanks to everyone that pitched in to support this effort. On Monday, we will still provide meals for everyone that has signed up. Our staff will take the upmost safety precautions while prepping, packing and delivering the meals. We will also begin delivering school materials to students if they have been in contact with their teacher. Please provide a dry container outside of your residence so our staff can securely place the learning materials in it. I would also like to direct our families to take a look at the Northome School Website for each teacher’s individualized distance learning plan. If you have questions regarding the distance learning plan, please feel free to contact the teacher directly with their contact information provided in the learning plan. As always, feel free to contact Principal Tammi at 218-897-5275 Ext 155 if you have any questions, comments or concerns. Thanks for listening and enjoy your weekend.
Over the past two days, Northome School has delivered 276 bags of food, 1104 cartons of milk and 552 containers of juice to our students and children around our community. It takes a strong and well organized team to manage this task and I want to thank everyone involved from our kitchen staff to our teachers, paras and our drivers. We will continue to provide this delivery service five days a week to help assist our students and families during this challenging time. We will also start dropping off school work on Mondays and have a pick up date each Thursday for materials that need to be returned to school. Again, Northome School will drop off work on Monday’s and pick up work on Thursdays. Classroom teachers will let families know when to expect work to be dropped off and when the teacher would like it returned. We will also have a drop box in our front entry that families can drop off books, school assignments during the regular school day five days a week. If you have questions, please contact principal Jeremy Tammi at 218-897-5275 ext. 155—Thanks and have a great day!
Northome School has well over one hundred students participating in our breakfast and lunch delivery service starting on Monday, March 23rd. Our goal will be to deliver the meals between 10AM and 12 noon. The meals will be delivered Monday through Friday for those that have signed up. Please have a cooler, a tote, a bin or a box on your front porch so our staff can easily place the meals in the container and we do not need to have any hand to hand contact. This method will keep everyone safe. It may take us a few days to fine tune our delivery system, so please be patient as we troubleshoot any problems. Thank you and we look forward to delivering your meals on Monday
