Today:

Congratulations to the Mustang football team for a well-executed playoff win over Littlefork last night, 52-14! Next up is a trip to Ely on Saturday to take on the Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m.

Looking Ahead:

A sign-up sheet is in the office for the classroom portion of Driver’s Training, which is scheduled for October 27th-Oct 31st and  Nov. 3rd-7th from 3:25-6:20 p.m. Students must be at least 14 years old. The cost is $145, with checks payable to Northome Community Education. The class will be held in Mrs. Plott’s English room.  Each day’s material is important, so daily attendance is mandatory.

A representative from Northwest Technical College will be here on Thursday, October 23rd at 9:30 AM to meet with interested students.  

There will be a K-6 lyceum in the big gym on Thursday, Oct. 23rd called "Recalypso, a World of Percussion" at 8:40 a.m. in the big gym. Students of all ages will be engaged by this multi-cultural musical program that immerses them in the world of percussion and inspires them to invent musical instruments of their own out of repurposed materials.

There will be a Science Club meeting during senior high lunch on Thursday in the science room.

Envirothon team members please talk to Mr. Schneider about a day to start practice.

Jr. National Honor Society will meet Friday at 11:00 in the science room.

Sr. National Honor Society will meet in the science room on Friday during lunch.

Picture Retake Day and group/activity pictures are scheduled for October 27th.

Mustang girls basketball have a fundraiser just in time for the holiday season! Fresh wreaths and swags will be available to order until October 31st. There are different sizes available, so see a basketball player for order information.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Students and staff are encouraged to wear pink every Friday in October in recognition and support of those who’ve been impacted by breast cancer.
